In this post you’ll understand why is it that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer?
So shall we?
A couple a days ago, I stumbled upon a Tony Robbins video, called “Why some people take massive action and others don’t“. This video inspired me to create the infographic below.
Why is it that some people take massive action and others just don’t? And why is it that those same people who take action are always those same ones that we tend to call successful guys, successful people (not to say rich). Can you spot the hidden nugget here?
The successful and rich people unlike the poor ones have a huge amount of something called “BELIEFS“. And even to be more precise here, I would allow myself to say “Self-belief” or as it’s more common “Believe in you“.
So far you understood that a major difference between the rich and the poor is related with their beliefs about themselves. The key though is what makes you belief in yourself?
Let’s take a closer look at what makes you believe in yourself…
Of course, you might say, in order to believe in myself I should just trust my gut. Do you realise how hard that is for the people today? It sounds simple but it is really hard. GPOB Influenza is all around nowadays. It is not easy to listen to yourself.
In the video (if you happen to have time to watch it) you will see two guys, both entrepreneurs and successful people in life. They want to understand why is it that after they sell their courses to their customers, the customers just don’t follow through. Although it’s all Step-By-Step, the customer just won’t do it. Does that mean that the customer doesn’t believe in themselves? Well, to some extend, yes.
As a course creator myself I know how hard is to make your customers follow through. You can make them download from you or even give you their money (sometimes a lot) relatively easy but can you make them follow thorough? There are a lot of psychology tricks to make your subconscious mind acts instead of your consciousness (in the buying process) but when it comes to following thorough, GPOB Ebola and GPOB HIV make the task a lot harder that it seems to be.
Your Lizard brain takes the lead and you start believing that you are not good enough to do all these steps (your belief starts shaking). Perhaps all the steps have worked for the course seller but not for you and so on (you get it) and then you stop following through (stop taking action), subsequently you get negative results and you say to yourself “I su*k at this. It does not work for me!” (you form a belief)
Interestingly enough this has a lot to do with our main subject, why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
It turns out that with the subject of “riches” it is the same. The same psychology. The same cycle.
- Potential – you start something new (the potential is always there. Everyone can be a Success).
- Action – how much action depends on how much potential you believe you have.
- Results – always positive OR negative.
- Belief – at the end you form a belief – “Yeah, that’s working” or “Nah, this is not working at all” and then the belief you are forming for yourself, based on the action taken and the results, sounds like “I am Good at it, I should keep doing that” or you say “I S*ck at this, I am not good” which directly affects #1 and everything starts all over again…
Does that mean that the poor guys don’t believe enough in themselves? Well, I leave this rhetorical question to you…
In my humble opinion this explanation about why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer is very simplified (Tony Robbins style) and logic.
Quick note: If you know me you probably know but in my opinion rich and successful man does not always refer to a guy who has tons of money. To me rich and successful guy might be also a guy who makes just enough money (on his own) to make a living and who is living their passion every day without any regrets.
Description of the image: YES, I do BELIEVE in myself.
OOPS, I don’t BELIEVE in myself. The treasure is yours. You get the idea, don’t you…
Why is it that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer in your own words? If you are a course creator, share your experience in the comment section. If you are rich, do so as well. If you are poor, do not be ashamed of that (I come from poor family myself).
